As of March 2018, I assumed Presidency of Miles Against       Melanoma, we have relocated from St. Peters to Jefferson City,   raised $18,000 for research and $3,000 for the Family Assistance Family Program.

We held our first 5K and Family Fun Event at Memorial Park August 25th, 2018 with a great turn out. There were over 350 registered participants and many more people attended the fun filled evening. For the first time at a Miles Against Melanoma event there were free skin cancer screenings, in which 22 people received free screenings and education. Several skin cancers were identified.  In September, we partnered with MOD Pizza and this fundraiser raised $115.

 On January 21st, Miles Against Melanoma presented Dr. Lynn Cornelius with a check for $18,000 for continued Melanoma research at Barnes Jewish Hospital. The Family Assistance Program assisted 2 patients with medical bills related to their melanoma. We donated sunscreen to Trinity Lutheran After School Program, Camp TLC and at local soccer games.

September 7th is our next 5K and Family fun night. We look forward to continuing to grow this local Jefferson City 501 (c)(3) non-profit.  Thank you for all the support everyone has given us.
